IN FOCUS

This feature was previously called "Organisations in Focus" and has been changed to In Focus as we have merged it with our Non-Lawyer of the Month feature.

In order to achieve our fundamental objective of highlighting and promoting diversity, we showcase in this feature individual lawyers and non-lawyers (irrespective of their ethnicity) and organisations making a real difference on this front, whether in private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, academia, charities and the not-for-profit sector or other organisations.

This feature is not exclusively about lawyers and black minorities as we recognise that the driving forces behind a lot of the real positive changes are not always lawyers and ethnic minorities. We therefore want to showcase these individuals for their very valuable work which may well go totally unnoticed or not garner much status or publicity. Some of the organisations may well have past and current excellent records. However, those with vision, taking real steps to improve either their own diversity records or those of others are also highlighted.

To these wheels, without whom the car is just a pile of metal, no matter how fancy or expensive, we at BLD salute you!
